Biography
Sandro Santos is not just a dance instructor: he is a true ambassador of international dance culture. His journey began with an in-depth study of Caribbean dance, honed under the guidance of world-renowned masters such as Alberto Valdés, and has evolved into an authentic exploration of the cultural roots of dance.Over the years, Sandro has developed a unique artistic vision that blends Cuban tradition with Cape Verdean culture, combining technique, identity, and storytelling.
International experience and major stages
His charisma and organizational skills have made him a key figure in high-profile events, many of which have received significant media coverage: he conceived and organized events broadcast on RAI and Sky, such as “FORWARD Island” in Panarea and the famous “Cabo Verde in Salsa” on the island of Sal.
He is also the founder of the “Cabo Verde Event,” a project that combines dance and culture and is now in its 8th year, having become a must-attend event for enthusiasts and professionals alike.
Collaborations and Special Projects
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with numerous artists and well-known figures, working alongside major stars of the international and television scenes, including Yanet Fuentes (a choreographer and dancer associated with Shakira), as well as artists such as Kledi and many others.
He choreographed a performance for the national event "Singers vs. Soccer Players" at the Renzo Barbera Stadium in Palermo, featuring guests such as Raoul Bova, Giuliano Sangiorgi (Negramaro), Amauri, and others, in an event broadcast on RAI and Sky.
Sicily, Education and Film
For years, he has been a leading figure in Sicily, organizing events and major conferences related to the world of salsa, and he taught for many years as a Caribbean dance instructor at the academy run by Enzo Paolo Turchi and Carmen Russo in Palermo.
He also appeared as an extra in the international production of *Indiana Jones 5*, filmed in Sicily with Harrison Ford, adding a special highlight to a career already filled with prestigious experiences.
Today, Sandro continues to express his artistic identity through teaching African and Cuban dance, bringing not only technique but also culture, energy, and authenticity to every class.
