Biography

Sandro Santos is not just a dance instructor: he is a true ambassador of international dance culture. His journey began with an in-depth study of Caribbean dance, honed under the guidance of great masters on the world stage such as Alberto Valdés, and has evolved into an authentic exploration of the cultural roots of dance.

Over the years, Sandro has developed a unique artistic vision, capable of blending Cuban tradition with Cape Verdean culture, uniting technique, identity, and storytelling.

International experience and major stages

His charisma and organizational skills have led him to take center stage at high-profile events, often with significant media coverage: he has been the creator and organizer of events broadcast on RAI and Sky, such as “FORWARD Island” in Panarea and the famous “Cabo Verde in Salsa” on the island of Sal.

He is also the creator of “Cabo Verde Event,” a project that combines dance and culture and is now in its 8th edition, having become a must-attend event for enthusiasts and professionals alike.

Collaborations and Special Projects

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous artists and well-known figures, working alongside major stars of the international and television scene, including Yanet Fuentes (choreographer and dancer associated with Shakira), as well as artists such as Kledi and many others.

He created a choreography for the national event “Singers vs. Soccer Players” at the Renzo Barbera Stadium in Palermo, featuring guests such as Raoul Bova, Giuliano Sangiorgi (Negramaro), Amauri, and others, in an event broadcast on RAI and Sky.

Sicily, training, and cinema

For years, he has been a leading figure in Sicily, coordinating events and major conferences related to the world of salsa, and has long taught as a Caribbean Dance Instructor at the academy of Enzo Paolo Turchi and Carmen Russo in Palermo.

He also appeared as an extra in the international production of Indiana Jones 5, filmed in Sicily with Harrison Ford, adding a special highlight to a career already rich in prestigious experiences.

Today, Sandro continues to express his artistic identity through teaching African and Cuban dances, bringing not only technique but also culture, energy, and authenticity to every lesson.
